چکیده
This study was performed to compare clinical outcomes of lymphatic n-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) embolization and ethanol sclerotherapy in patients with symptomatic postoperative pelvic lymphoceles. prospective, open-label, randomized, controlled trial took place at two medical centers Korea. Patients ≥ 18 years old lymphoceles were randomly assigned (1:1) one arms: or sclerotherapy. A target 44 set for each group assess outcomes. The began August 2018 but ended as a pilot February 2020. Problematic patient enrollment precluded full population recruitment, only 11 (embolization, 5; sclerotherapy, 6) eventually participating. Clinical success drainage tube removal rates 100% both arms. To achieve success, significantly more procedures needed the than (4.5 ± 1.23 vs 2.0 1.00; p < 0.001). time daily reduction thresholds (< 20 mL 20% initial drainage) also less (vs embolization) fell short statistical significance (4.8 2.63 days 7.0 3.67 days; = 0.267). No significant adverse events recurring evident 3-month follow-up visits. Both NBCA might be safe effective treating lymphoceles, showing no difference In future randomized prospective study, it is essential establish better inclusion criteria selectively include intractable find out outcome between treatments.
